A number of Leeds fans have taken to Twitter to react to reports from The Sun on Sunday (3/3; page 61) which have suggested that the Whites are planning to make a move for Harry Wilson in the summer should they get promoted.

Marcelo Bielsa’s side have a fantastic chance of getting themselves out of the Championship this season. Leeds sit second in the table and sent out a remarkable statement on Friday as they thrashed promotion rivals West Brom 4-0 at Elland Road.

Understandably, Bielsa appears to be keeping one eye on potential transfer targets in case they do go up – and one of those players on his radar, according to The Sun on Sunday (3/3; page 61), is Liverpool starlet Wilson.

Wilson has enjoyed a superb season on loan at Derby County this term. He has scored 10 league goals and 12 in all competitions since joining the Rams, and it certainly seemed to be a boost to Leeds’s hopes of beating Frank Lampard’s side that he was missing during their most recent meeting. The Whites won 2-0 in comfortable fashion.

The reaction on social media appears to generally be extremely positive. Wilson’s form has been a little more underwhelming in recent times, but he has unquestionably been a fantastic signing for the Rams, and plenty of fans believe that he would be a great addition if Leeds did go up.

And with little love lost between the Elland Road faithful and Derby boss Lampard following the Spygate saga, it appears that it would be particularly satisfying for Leeds to land one of his key men next season.
