Leeds United lost 1-0 to Sunderland in the FA Cup third round this weekend, but what did fans make of Dario Del Fabro’s performance?
Leeds United travelled to the Stadium of Light on Sunday for a FA Cup third round match against Sunderland.
The Whites’ manager Neil Redfearn opted for a much-changed side with the likes of Casper Sloth, Brian Montenegro and Dario Del Fabro all starting against the Black Cats, and despite a 1-0 defeat there was much for Leeds fans to be proud of.
A young Leeds side competed well against their top flight opponents, with Del Fabro forming a fine partnership with regular centre-back Liam Cooper.
The pair ensured Sunderland did not add to Patrick can Aanholt’s first-half goal, with Leeds looking solid in the second period.
They were unable to find an equaliser, with Cooper coming the closest; his late header hitting the woodwork, but Del Fabro did well for a 19-year-old making his debut.
After the match we took to Twitter to see what Leeds fans thought of the teenager’s performance and you can read a selection of what we found below:
