Leeds United’s reported move for Daniel James in January collapsed.

Plenty of Leeds fans have suggested that the Whites simply have to reignite their interest in Daniel James in the summer after the winger stole the show with a stunning solo goal in Swansea’s FA Cup win on Sunday.
Leeds seemed set to sign James on the final day of the January transfer window. The Yorkshire Evening Post reports that a move to Elland Road was all but done, but the Swans stopped taking calls in the hours before the deadline, and he stayed at the Liberty Stadium.
As fate would have it, James’s second appearance following the collapse of his move would come against Leeds. Marcelo Bielsa’s side won 2-1, but much of the discussion centred on how the winger did against the Whites.
He may not have enjoyed the best night on that occasion, but the 21-year-old has reminded Leeds exactly why they were reportedly ready to pay over £5 million to sign him if they were promoted (via Yorkshire Evening Post) with his latest performance.

James produced a moment of sheer magic to put the Swans 2-1 ahead against Brentford in a FA Cup tie that they would ultimately win 4-1. He won the ball just outside his own penalty area and proceeded to use his incredible pace to get away from the Bees defenders before lifting the ball over the goalkeeper and into the bottom corner.
It was a goal that has the potential to live long in the memory. And it is certainly one that has caught the Leeds fans’ attention on social media, with many insisting that the Championship high-flyers must make a fresh move at the end of the season.

Here is how some of the Leeds fans reacted to James’s goal…
