Leeds United forward Tyler Roberts has missed out on a place in Wales’ latest squad due to injury.

A number of Leeds fans have taken to Twitter to comment on reports from the Yorkshire Evening Post that suggested that Tyler Roberts has undergone minor knee surgery.
Roberts has missed out on a place in Wales’ latest squad after undergoing a procedure to drain fluid on his knee. But the Yorkshire Evening Post reports that he is set to be back for the start of pre-season at Thorp Arch.
The news has actually received a positive response on social media. Now the supporters know that the surgery was not serious and he is not expected to miss any of the preparations for next term, they believe that it could be a positive that he has been forced into a break.
Roberts enjoyed a very promising first full season at Leeds. He went into the campaign having not made his debut following his switch from West Brom in January 2018, but the 20-year-old went on to make 28 league appearances as the Whites came agonisingly close to sealing promotion out of the Championship.

He scored three times and contributed five assists and generally performed extremely well when tasked with playing in the number 10 role in the second-half of the campaign.
And having played such an important part in Leeds’ season, some of the supporters believe that missing out on the Wales squad this time around will be beneficial to Bielsa’s men as Roberts looks to kick on next term.

Here is how some of the fans reacted to the news of Roberts undergoing surgery…
