Leeds loanee finds the target once again.
Leeds United teenager Mallik Wilks continues to build a name for himself at Accrington Stanley.
The youngster netted for Accrington in the Checkatrade Trophy last night in a 3-2 defeat at Lincoln City.
Wilks played 87 minutes, and opened the scoring with a low shot from outside the box.
Wilks is just 18-years-old and before this season he had played only one game for Leeds, as a substitute in a FA Cup defeat at Sutton.
He has benefitted from playing for League Two side Accrington Stanley, scoring on his debut and scoring five goals in total.
Wilks has struck three times in the league and twice in the Checkatrade Trophy, giving Leeds fans encouragement he could break through into their first team.
Leeds’ academy has been kind to the club in recent years when it comes to supplying first team players, and Wilks stands a shot of making it at Elland Road.
His current loan deal expires in January, and a decision will need to be made whether to extend his loan, or if he can play a part at Leeds as soon as this season.
