Leeds United fans have been given a major reason to celebrate with Andrea Radrizzani buying Elland Road back.

Stephen Warnock has joined the Leeds fans reacting on Twitter to the news that the club confirmed on their official website that they have completed the purchase of Elland Road.

The Whites sold their stadium in 2004 in the midst of their financial implosion which saw them fall from the Champions League to being on -15 in League One in less than a decade.

However, the club have confirmed on their official website that the side’s parent company now owns the stadium, which has been the team’s home since their formation in 1919.

The Yorkshire Evening Post reports that the deal is worth around £20 million, but will save Leeds the £1.7 million per year that they previously paid in rent.

And amongst those commenting on the news on Twitter is former Leeds left-back Warnock…
