Sam Dalby completed a loan move from Leeds United to League Two side Morecambe until the end of the season – and Leeds fans have reacted on Twitter.

The 19-year-old has failed to make the Leeds bench even once and is still awaiting his first-team debut, but the striker is a regular part of Carlos Corberan’s under-23 squad along with the likes of Kun Temenuzhkov and Ryan Edmondson.

Joining Leeds from Leyton Orient in January 2018, Dalby has experience in League Two – making 16 appearances in the fourth tier for Orient, scoring once and creating three more.

Leeds announced that Dalby had joined Morecambe on loan until the end of the season, while defender Tom Pearce had moved to League One side Scunthorpe United on their official Twitter account on deadline day.

Leeds have plenty of options up front, leaving Dalby with little chance of breaking into the side. Kemar Roofe is first choice, while Patrick Bamford, Tyler Roberts, Edmondson and Temenuzhkov are likely to be above Dalby in the pecking order.

Dalby has 18 months remaining on his contract at Elland Road after agreeing a two-and-a-half-year deal last January, and Leeds fans reacted to his move to Morecambe on Twitter.
