Modou Barrow endured a difficult loan spell at Leeds last season.

Modou Barrow has continued his excellent form for Championship strugglers Reading on Monday night with another for his 2017-18 tally during a 2-2 draw against Cardiff City – and Leeds fans are frustrated on Twitter.
The Gambia international was loaned to Leeds during the second half of the 2017-18 campaign, as Garry Monk looked to use his Swansea City connections to good affect. However, Barrow managed just five appearances in that time.

The 25-year-old put Jaap Stam’s men 2-0 up in the first half after Cardiff defender Callum Paterson had scored an own goal, as he latched on to a cleared corner to drive a venomous strike into the Royals’ goal, albeit via a deflection.
However, Reading could not hold on to their lead despite having home advantage, as Neil Warnock’s high flyers produced an impressive comeback in the last 10 minutes which saw Lee Tomlin and Joe Bennett find the back of the net.
Barrow struggled to earn regular game time during his half-season spell at Elland Road, with Leeds boasting the likes of Alfonso Pedraza, Stuart Dallas, Kemar Roofe and Hadi Sacko on the flanks last season.
Leeds fans rued the club’s decision not to give him much of a chance as he scored his sixth goal of the season on Monday night, with some fans stating that he “hardly got a chance” under Monk.
