Leeds manager Bielsa is reportedly on a two-man shortlist to replace Tata Martino at the Mercedes-Benz Stadium.

Marcelo Bielsa is reportedly one of two managers on Major League Soccer outfit Atlanta United’s shortlist after Tata Martino left the club – but Leeds United fans are confident their manager is going nowhere.

Bielsa, 63, has taken to life at Elland Road in excellent fashion, guiding the Whites to second place in the Championship with 42 points from 21 games so far. There is a genuine belief that Leeds could return to the Premier League.

But ABC News have reported that Bielsa is one of two names linked with Atlanta, who are without a manager after former Barcelona manager Martino left the club at the end of the season.

The former Paraguay and Argentina manager stated that he wanted to leave the Mercedes-Benz Stadium at the end of the season regardless on whether his side won the MLS Cup. The 2-0 win over Portland was not enough to keep him.

Bielsa has been shortlisted alongside Boca Juniors manager Guillermo Barros Schelotto, who just guided Boca to the Copa Libertadores final – only to lose to River Plate over two legs.

Leeds boss Bielsa has a contract at Elland Road until the summer of 2020, and fans are surprisingly confident that the former Argentina manager will stay in Yorkshire – instead of being worried about the MLS side’s interest.
