Leeds are yet to sign anyone this month, but have been linked with plenty of new players.

Marcelo Bielsa has angered Leeds United fans by saying that the club may not bring any new players to Elland Road – despite more injuries since previously stating that January would not be particularly busy.

The likes of Liam Cooper, Barry Douglas, Patrick Bamford and more have suffered injuries since Bielsa stated prior to the window that the club would not be looking at buying new players.

The Whites are lacking in a goalkeeper after Jamal Blackman suffered a broken leg and returned to Chelsea, while a new centre-back, central midfielder and a winger are missing from a fully-rounded squad.

Leeds brought in Blackman, Douglas, Lewis Baker, Izzy Brown, Jack Harrison and Patrick Bamford at Elland Road in the summer, but Brown is yet to play due to injury while Bamford has only just returned.

Bielsa was quoted by Leeds Live as saying that “even if no-one comes in, we will have enough resources to finish the season,” and that comment has angered fans.

Leeds have been linked with a whole host of players in recent days, including the likes of Portsmouth winger Jamal Lowe, Newcastle United goalkeeper Karl Darlow and long-standing target Ibai Gomez of Alaves.

But fans were not impressed with Bielsa claiming that the club may decide not to sign any players this month, with the Elland Road fanbase concerned that a lack of activity in the transfer window may affect Leeds’ promotion chase.
