Leeds United winger Gjanni Alioski continued his impressive start to the season with a goal for his country.

A number of Leeds fans have taken to Twitter to laud Gjanni Alioski after the winger scored a brilliant goal during Macedonia’s Nations League clash with Gibraltar on Thursday night.
Alioski scored Macedonia’s second 10 minutes before the break as a corner evaded everyone inside the Gibraltar six-yard box and found its way towards the winger who was in plenty of space and able to viciously lash the ball home on the volley.
The finish itself was perhaps ever so slightly reminiscent of his brilliant goal at Norwich City earlier this season – though that hit at Carrow Road came after a stunning team move that undoubtedly helps explain why Marcelo Bielsa’s men currently top the Championship table, and the angle from which he scored against the Canaries was significantly tighter.
Alioski’s start to the season sums up his time at Elland Road quite well. His form has varied between the absolutely sublime and somewhat anonymous performances on a couple of occasions.

Only Kemar Roofe and Pablo Hernandez have had a direct hand in more goals than Alioski – who has two goals and two assists in the league thus far – and Bielsa will be delighted that the attacker appears to be taking his better form into the international break.
The Leeds supporters on social media were extremely impressed with Alioski’s strike, and hope that it is an indication that he is ready to sustain his extremely promising start to the new season beyond the international break.
