Both Luke Ayling and Tyler Roberts are yet to feature for Leeds United this season.

Leeds fans have been given another reason to be excited after Marcelo Bielsa’s side’s superb start to the new season with the club posting a video on social media showing both Tyler Roberts and Luke Ayling on the training ground as they continue their comebacks from injury.

Bielsa has been unable to pick both men so far this season. Roberts has not played since the controversial draw with Aston Villa last term and was not able to go away with the Wales squad during the summer.

Meanwhile, Ayling sustained an injury shortly before the opening pre-season friendly of the summer so is also awaiting the chance to make his first appearance since the end of last season.

It had appeared that it would be a while before either man was back in contention to be selected, with Bielsa telling LUTV ahead of the win over Wigan earlier this month that neither was expected to be back in the near future.

Bielsa may deem that they are still some way off being ready for the first-team, but the club have provided an update on both men by posting a video of the pair being put through their paces on the training ground.

Neither man looks to be struggling in any way, and it appears safe to say that they are definitely being pushed by the coaches, so perhaps it may not be too long before they are potentially involved in an under-23 game or even in contention to make the first-team squad.

The news has unsurprisingly gone down extremely well amongst the Leeds fans on social media. Plenty, including Ayling’s partner, have responded to the club’s post on Twitter with many expressing their excitement regarding the amount of depth that Leeds have should they have a fully fit squad at any stage.
