Manchester United have lost Alfie Hughes to their old rivals Leeds United.

Leeds United fans have already fallen in love with one of their new signings.
But it’s not Helder Costa, the former Wolves winger who has the pace and the skill to take The Whites back to the Promised Land after 15 years away. It’s not even the former Barcelona wonderkid Rafa Mujica or the returning academy graduate Jack Clarke.
Instead, 16-year-old Alfie Hughes is already the toast of Elland Road. Why? Because he has turned down the chance to stay at Leeds’ bitter rivals Manchester United in favour of making a rather controversial move across the Pennines.
That is one hell of a brave choice for a player who hasn’t even come close to his senior debut yet.
But considering that Clarke, Lewis Cook, Kalvin Phillips and Northern Ireland number one Bailey Peacock-Farrell are just three players who have risen through the ranks at Leeds in recent years, the highly-rated Hughes might have just found the perfect place to fulfil his undoubted potential.
And, so far, this teenage midfielder can do no wrong in the eyes of Leeds United supporters.
