It might only be a pre-season friendly, but Jack Harrison was superb during Leeds United’s first half against York this evening.
Marcelo Bielsa’s side earned a 4-0 lead in what was a very comfortable first 45 minutes for the Championship side at Bootham Crescent.
Harrison, who re-signed for Leeds on a season-long loan from Manchester City last week, opened the scoring after only three minutes, before turning provider to tee up Kemar Roofe to tap home midway through the first half.
The 22-year-old added a fourth on the stroke of the break by drilling home from well outside the box.
Harrison had a mixed year with the Whites last term, but really came to life in the final few months of what turned out to be a disappointing season.
And Leeds fans certainly believe that he might pick up where he left off.
Harrison, who earns £51,000 per week at parent club City [Spotrac], certainly looks the part for Leeds so far.
Yes, he is bossing it against a team from the sixth tier of the English football pyramid, but he’s comfortably out-shining the likes of Roofe, Patrick Bamford and Pablo Hernandez – who scored United’s third of the night – so things look promising.
