Some Leeds United fans have been left unhappy over the winner of March’s Championship Player of the Month award.
Whites ace Pablo Hernandez was in the running for the accolade following a superb month in which he weighed in with five goals and also registered two assists to keep Marcelo Bielsa’s side in the hunt for automatic promotion.
The Spaniard, who turned 34 on Thursday, was up against Rotherham United’s Semi Ajayi, Sheffield United’s Jack O’Connell and Norwich City’s Emiliano Buendia, and on Friday morning, the winner was announced as Ajayi.
The Millers player boosted his team’s fight against relegation by scoring five times in five league outings last month, his efforts including braces against Blackburn Rovers and Queens Park Rangers.
Hernandez’s snub comes less than three weeks after he was not selected for the Championship Team of the Season, despite being one of three players in the league with double figures in assists and goals.

Hernandez joined Leeds initially on a six-month loan from Qatari club Al-Arabi in August 2016 and he has impressed so much for the Elland Road side over the years that he is now on a contract until 2020 (Transfermarkt).
