Leeds United fans react on Twitter to the news that Leicester City will release Robert Huth – and they want him.

Robert Huth of Leicester City looks on during the Premier League 2 match between Leicester City and Tottenham Hotspur at Holmes Park on January 3, 2018 in Leicester, England.

Leeds United fans on Twitter are all in favour of seeing the club make a Bosman move for Leicester City stalwart Robert Huth.

The 33-year-old centre-back, who turns 34 in August, will be available for free this summer after Leicester confirmed his imminent release.

Huth, who earns around £45,000 per week [Silly Season], has 322 appearances in England’s top flight under his belt – and of course a Premier League title, having played a huge role in the Foxes’ miraculous success in 2016.

And Leeds supporters would love to see someone of his experience arrive in West Yorkshire this summer.

His salary might make the move difficult, but there really is no denying that Huth would be a phenomenal addition by the Whites.

He might be getting on a bit, but a past-it Premier League veteran is more valuable to a Championship club with promotion aspirations than a Liam Cooper or a Matthew Pennington – if he is fit, that is.

The former Chelsea and Stoke stalwart has endured an injury-ravaged 2017-18 with Leicester and hasn’t kicked a ball since last May due to ankle and foot issues.

But if he can shake off those problems then few would argue a fully-fit Huth isn’t a huge upgrade on Leeds’ existing options.
