Leeds United striker Chris Wood could be closing in on a move to Burnley.
Leeds United have put up a firm fight this summer, but striker Chris Wood may finally be edging towards the Elland Road exit door this weekend, with a move to Burnley allegedly drawing closer.
The Mirror report that Burnley are poised to seal a £15million deal plus add-ons for Wood, with the striker keen to make the move to the Premier League before this month’s transfer deadline.

Wood, 25, has come a long way since joining Leeds from Leicester City in 2015. After a 13-goal debut campaign at Elland Road, the New Zealand international received plenty of criticism from fans, who had hoped that he would score with more regularity.
Fans got what they wanted last term as Wood hit 30 goals in 48 games in all competitions, but his goalscoring form for the Whites appears to have earned him a move to the Premier League, if reports are to be believed.
Wood hasn’t left Leeds yet, but fans are already taking to Twitter in order to suggest possible replacements for the former West Bromwich Albion man, with two names very popular so far.
Fans on social media have suggested that Leeds should move for Bournemouth’s Benik Afobe or Cardiff City’s Kenneth Zohore, and whilst other players have already been touted, those two names have been popping up among Whites fans.

Those two targets aren’t without their question marks though; Afobe started in Bournemouth’s opening game of the season away at West Brom last weekend, meaning that even though Eddie Howe brought in Jermain Defoe this summer, Afobe could still have a role to play with the Cherries this season.
Meanwhile, Danish striker Zohore – who hit 12 goals last season and has again looked impressive this term – was the subject of a failed £10million bid from Hull City according to the Hull Daily Mail, and Leeds may find it difficult to tempt Cardiff into selling the striker.
Both players are strong, quick and can replace Wood as a lone striker in Thomas Christiansen’s 4-2-3-1 system, and the Leeds fans below feel that Afobe or Zohore would be perfect signings before the transfer deadline.
