The Whites ace has improved massively under Marcelo Bielsa and put in a great display as the Elland Road side went top of the Championship table.

A number of Leeds United fans have taken to Twitter to praise the Whites following their 2-0 win away at Wigan Athletic and, while multiple Leeds players were praised, the general consensus was that Adam Forshaw had one of his best games for the Elland Road side.

The Whites midfielder had a bright game for Marcelo Bielsa’s side – Leeds Live rating him 8 out of 10, joint highest on the day – and was instrumental in their first goal at the DW Stadium after his header, which came off the Latics post, was tapped in by Patrick Bamford on the rebound in the 35th minute.

Bamford then added a second just after the hour when he bundled home a second-half corner, with Wigan unable to muster a reply as the Elland Road side surged to the top of the Championship table with seven points from three games and a goal difference of plus four.

Here is some of the Leeds fans’ social media reaction to Forshaw’s performance on the day:

Forshaw, a £4.59million signing from Middlesbrough in the January 2018 transfer window, has made 47 appearances for Leeds (Transfermarkt), and although he has had his fair share of criticism in the past, he seems to be kicking on nicely this season.
