Leeds United fans react on Twitter to 2019-20 fixture list reveal

The Whites get their Championship campaign underway with a trip to Bristol City before Elland Road hosts Nottingham Forest the following week.

Leeds United now know what their 2019-20 Championship schedule looks like after the EFL fixture reveal was made on Thursday morning (official Leeds website).

Marcelo Bielsa’s charges begin the campaign with a trip to Ashton Gate to play Bristol City in a 4:30pm kickoff on Sunday 4 August.

As reported by Leeds Live, this means that the Whites’ first match will be shown on television, live on Sky Sports, for the fifth year in a row.

United’s first opponents at Elland Road will be Martin O’Neill’s Nottingham Forest on Saturday 10 August.

Wigan Athletic away, Brentford at home, Stoke City away and Swansea City at home are the other August games.

In terms of the festive period, Boxing Day brings a home game against Preston North End and New Year’s Day involves a trip to West Bromwich Albion.

Over the Easter period, United will take on Stoke City at home on Friday 10 April (Good Friday) and visit Swansea City on Monday 13 April (Easter Monday).

The final game of the season, meanwhile, will see the Whites take on Charlton Athletic at Elland Road.
