Leeds United fans wanted to remind Aston Villa boss Dean Smith of something following Friday night’s draw.

When Leeds came from 2-0 down to beat Aston Villa 3-2 in December, Dean Smith seemed to mock the visitors by suggesting, in comments reported by Birmingham Live, that the Whites had celebrated the win as if they had already won the league.
Marcelo Bielsa’s side produced a remarkable comeback against the Villans that day. At half-time, there appeared to be little chance of any result other than a Villa victory as they led 2-0.
But goals from Jack Clarke, Pontus Jansson and a stoppage-time winner from Kemar Roofe sent the visitors into ecstasy. And Smith seemed to take exception with how much the win meant to Leeds.
Fast forward less than two months, and Villa Park was the scene of another incredible comeback on Friday as Sheffield United led 3-0 against Smith’s men with eight minutes of normal time remaining.

Tyrone Mings, Tammy Abraham and Andre Green ensured that the home side took a share of the points – and understandably, the manager was visibly delighted as the fans and players celebrated a goal they would have never expected 15 minutes earlier.
But Smith’s reaction has prompted a number of Leeds supporters to remind the Villa boss of his comments following their meeting in December. Villa have actually done Leeds a favour by denying the Blades the chance to go top of the table, but several Whites fans could not help but notice how important it clearly was to Smith.

Here is how some of the Leeds supporters reacted to the manager’s celebration…
