Leeds United fans want to see Marcus Maddison sign from Peterborough United.
Leeds United are in need of reinforcements this summer, and fans are desperate to see the club shop domestically rather than in foreign markets again.
After a strong start under Thomas Christiansen, Leeds ultimately fell apart and endured a dismal 2018, with Paul Heckingbottom – only appointed in February – already under pressure.
Director of football Victor Orta is already under huge pressure too, and that’s down to the fact that a lot of his foreign imports, such as Felix Wiedwald, Laurens De Bock, Mateusz Klich, Pawel Cibicki and Jay-Roy Grot, made little impact.
One player popular with Leeds fans is Peterborough United playmaker Marcus Maddison, and he would certainly fit the bill if the Whites look to land players with experience of playing in England.
A former non-league star with Gateshead, Maddison has impressed for Peterborough since his 2014 move, and the 24-year-old has racked up 42 goals for the Posh, whilst he has recorded a stunning 22 assists in all competitions this season.
The playmaker has now been transfer listed though, with Peterborough allowing him to leave in order to play at a higher level after they failed to win promotion from League One this season.
That has sparked Leeds fans into life on social media, with many messaging owner Andrea Radrizzani, urging him to get a deal done to bring Maddison to Elland Road this summer.
Others simply feel that Maddison is too good to turn down for Leeds, and whilst he has never played above League One, fans think he can make a real impact in the Championship for Leeds.
