Leeds United’s Marcelo Bielsa held an emergency press conference earlier today.

Many football fans have been glued to the trials and tribulations of Leeds United today, with Marcelo Bielsa calling an emergency press conference at 5pm.

Twitter was buzzing with the idea that Bielsa – a maverick by anybody’s metrics – would be resigning, in light of the club’s Spygate ‘scandal’.

A Leeds member of staff was spotted spying on Derby’s training sessions last week, and before beating the Rams 2-0 at Elland Road, Bielsa admitted he was to blame.

Today’s press conference ended up being to address the Spygate situation, with Bielsa revealing that he has had every opponent’s training sessions watched this season.

Bielsa went on to suggest that he has done nothing wrong, and even gave a detailed breakdown of just how Leeds beat Derby – something other Championship clubs will love.

Intriguingly though, something else came out of the press conference. When Bielsa was preparing to show a PowerPoint presentation to the media, some eagle-eyed fans spotted a file on Bielsa’s home screen.

It was titled ’20 JAMES WIN SWANSEA’; the video was clearly of Swansea winger Daniel James – number 20 – amid speculation that Leeds want to sign the wide man.

The Yorkshire Evening Post note that Leeds are indeed interested in James, with the 21-year-old Yorkshireman really catching the eye this season.

Bielsa having a file of James on his desktop has fascinated many, with some believing that Bielsa left the file there on purpose, whilst others think that it clearly hints that Leeds are pursuing a deal for the winger this month.
