Kemar Roofe is an important player for Leeds United, but the attacker’s performances so far this season have been mixed.

The 24-year-old has scored three goals and provided one assist in eight Championship starts for far this campaign.

Blessed with the ability to play as a striker or as a winger, Roofe is a quality footballer, but some Leeds fans want him dropped from the team this weekend.

The former West Bromwich Albion prospect started the Championship match against Derby County at Elland Road on Tuesday evening.

Roofe failed to make a massive impact against the Rams and was substituted in the 76th minute.

The former Oxford United star has been deployed mostly out wide this season, but the 24-year-old generally performs better when played down the middle.

The Whites will return to action on Saturday evening when they take on Brentford away from home at Griffin Park in the Championship.

While some Leeds fans want head coach Thomas Christiansen to drop Roofe from the team against Brentford, others want the attacker to be deployed down the middle.
