The Brentford hitman scored a superb hat-trick on Sunday as the Londoners won 3-1 at Barnsley.
In contrast, Leeds lost at Charlton Athletic on Saturday in a defeat that exposed their lack of killer instinct up front yet again.
Marcelo Bielsa has Patrick Bamford and Eddie Nketiah, but both drew blanks at The Valley and some fans of the Yorkshire club believe that somebody like Watkins would be ideal.

Watkins, who has three more goals than Bamford in the Championship this season, upset quite a few Leeds supporters toward the end of last term when the Bees beat United at Griffin Park, with their star striker booked on the day for simulation in the box.
Does Bielsa need another striker? That might be premature. Yes, Bamford and Nketiah aren’t firing on all cylinders, but they had been up to a couple of weeks ago and they deserve time to turn it around.
