Casper Sloth starred for the Leeds Under-21’s on Monday afternoon.
Leeds United Under-21’s drew 3-3 with Bolton Wanderers on Monday afternoon, with midfielder Casper Sloth stealing the show.
The Whites development side, led by their new boss Paul Hart, raced in to an early 2-0 lead thanks to two goals from Sloth, before Bolton hit back with three goals of their own – but striker Souleymane Doukara made it 3-3 and gave Leeds a draw.
It was Sloth who impressed the most though, bagging two goals as he valiantly attempts to make his return to the Leeds first team.
The 23-year-old midfielder has been a bit-part figure at Elland Road ever since joining the club from AGF in his native Denmark during the summer of 2014, and has become something of a forgotten man.
Sloth was given few opportunities under former boss Uwe Rosler, but will be hoping for a chance to shine under new manager Steve Evans – and he did those prospects no harm with his performance for the Under-21’s.
Leeds fans took to Twitter in order to discuss Sloth’s performance as well as his situation at Elland Road, with a virtually unanimous verdict that the Dane should be given another chance in the Leeds first team having fared so well for the Under-21’s.
Here are some of the reactions from Leeds fans on Twitter after Sloth’s performance for the club’s Under-21 side on Monday…
