Andrea Radrizzani spoke publicly about Marcelo Bielsa’s Leeds United future today.

Leeds United fans on Twitter are fearing the worst regarding Marcelo Bielsa’s future at Elland Road.

It remains to be seen if Leeds can keep Bielsa at the club after his failure to propel the club back into the Premier League.

The 63-year-old has been linked to a number of different teams in recent days – including Roma – but United owner Andrea Radrizzani said on talkSPORT today that there’s a ‘chance’ he could stay.

He said: “We have a chance to keep him. We’ll see. The next few days will be decisive and we’ll make an announcement. We’ll see in the next few days.”

Radrizzani’s comments didn’t inspire much confidence in Leeds fans, many of whom expect their adored manager to be leaving soon.

The Italian businessman revealed earlier in the week that he is anticipating a ‘difficult’ summer for Leeds on the recruitment front, hinting that a number of Under-23 players could find themselves promoted to save money on transfers.

If true, you could understand why Bielsa might be tempted to resume his legendary career elsewhere.

Without new players, United could find themselves in a state of stagnation, which isn’t ideal when you want to make the sort of giant strides that result in promotion to the Premier League.
