Bradley Dack starred for Blackburn Rovers on Boxing Day as he came close to beating Championship leaders Leeds United at Elland Road – and Leeds fans want their club to land the playmaker.

Leeds finally came out on top in an enthralling match that saw Blackburn take the lead in the 90th minute, only for Leeds to turn the game on its head and win by three goals to two.

Kemar Roofe scored an injury-time brace, as Leeds stretched their winning run to seven games – taking them three points clear at the top of the Championship and six clear of the play-offs.

Leeds were rather dominant throughout the match though Blackburn did carve out a number of chances. Charlie Mulgrew scored both goals for Rovers, after Derrick Williams’ own goal put Leeds ahead.

But it was pocket-sized midfielder Dack that caught the eye of many Leeds fans, as he dazzled supporters with the ball at his feet and ability to connect the midfield and attack.

It was reported back in October that West Bromwich Albion (The Sun, 07/10, page 60) were willing to smash their transfer record to bring in Dack for a fee believed to be in the region of £20milliom, but that is yet to materialise.

This season, Dack has had a hand in a huge 29 goals – scoring 18 and creating 11 – and Leeds fans are desperate to see him replace Samu Saiz at Elland Road next month, with the Spaniard joining La Liga outfit Getafe.
