In one of the most remarkable stories of the season so far, it looks as though AFC Bournemouth could be about to hire Marcelo Bielsa.
The Athletic have reported that the south-coast club are in talks with the Argentine about being Scott Parker’s full-time replacement, and, as you can imagine, that has sparked something of a reaction amongst the Leeds United fanbase.
Leeds fans are experiencing mixed emotions upon hearing this move. On one hand, some are excited to see Bielsa’s style of football return to the Premier League, but others can’t bear the thought of the Argentine in another Premier League dugout.

Regardless of how Leeds fans feel about Bielsa taking charge of Bournemouth, one of their long-term dreams may be about to come true.
Indeed, Bielsa taking charge at the Vitality Stadium would see him link-up with another Leeds fan favourite – Lewis Cook.
Cook came through the ranks at Elland Road in the 2010s as one of the brightest young midfielders in the country, and many United fans thought he would be a Premier League star one day.
Sadly, injuries have hampered his career path so far, but as any Leeds fan will tell you, he’s a talented player and he may be about to work with an incredibly talented manager.
We all know the wonders Bielsa can work with a midfielder of this ilk – just look at how he transformed Kalvin Phillips at Leeds, and if he does a similar sort of job with Cook, he could finally fulfil the potential that he showed at Elland Road all those years ago.
Cook playing under Bielsa will have been a dream for many Leeds fans, and that dream may be about to come true, but cruelly, this union will not be happening at Elland Road.
