Leeds United face Championship league leaders Wolverhampton Wanderers on Wednesday night as they look to build on their victory over Middlesbrough on Sunday – and fans have urged Thomas Christiansen to start Kemar Roofe.
The 24-year-old attacker lead the line for the Whites on Sunday, and was instrumental in the second goal during the 2-1 victory as he danced around two Middlesbrough defenders before playing in Pablo Hernandez.
Replaced in the 79th minute, the former Oxford United striker was given a huge ovation by the Elland Road faithful for his hard work that seemed to only lack a goal of his own.
However, target man Pierre-Michel Lasogga only missed Sunday’s clash through illness and now the big German could return to the side on Sunday in Roofe’s place after scoring five goals in 10 league games.
The victory against former manager Garry Monk and his Boro side saw Leeds stop a run of four consecutive defeats, and Christiansen must pick his best side if he is to have any chance of making it two wins in a row.
Leeds fans looked to advise Christiansen by taking to Twitter and pleading with the Spanish boss to start West Brom trainee Roofe, with one fan even claiming that he is “better in the air”.
