Leeds United are expected to be active in the transfer market this summer, and fans have considered the signing of Wallace on Twitter.

Ross Wallace has been told by Sheffield Wednesday that he will be released by the Yorkshire club at the end of the season when his contract at Hillsbrough expires – and Leeds fans are keen to snap up the midfielder on a free transfer.
The 32-year-old midfielder has a contract with Leeds’ bitter rivals until June 30, but Wednesday announced on their official website that Wallace would not be a part of the Owls’ squad for the 2018-19 season.
One-time Scotland international Wallace joins Glenn Loovens and Jake Kean in leaving the Championship side, while striker George Hirst – who has been linked with a move to Leeds – has been offered a new contract.

Wallace, who can play anywhere in midfield, is renowned for his accurate left foot and his ability from set pieces, as well as boasting huge Championship experience that has seen him play 354 times in England’s second tier.
Now available on a free transfer at the end of the season, Leeds fans have contemplated snapping up the former Celtic, Sunderland and Preston star on the cheap this summer.
Most fans are in agreement that he would be a strong signing at Elland Road, with one supporter posting that Wallace “reminds him of Jason Wilcox”.
