Vurnon Anita has started one league game for Leeds United since October.

Leeds United fans on Twitter have called on Paul Heckingbottom to start giving Vurnon Anita chances in central midfield.
Heckingbottom’s first game in charge of Leeds resulted in a 2-1 defeat at Sheffield United last weekend.
There, Eunan O’Kane was particularly slated by fans of the Elland Road for his performance and conceded the penalty that led to the Blades’ 73rd-minute winner.

Bizarrely, Anita, who joined last summer after his release from Newcastle United, hasn’t played a minute in central midfield for the Whites this season, despite spending most of his career in that role.
The Netherlands international has mainly played at left-back, having impressed on the opposite side of defence for the Magpies at times, but Laurens De Bock’s arrival in January means that the diminutive talent is no longer an option there it seems.

And some United fans want to see Anita – who has started one Championship game since October – being used in a different way than how Heckingbottom’s predecessor Thomas Christiansen deployed him.
