Leeds United play host to Norwich City on Saturday afternoon.

Leeds United fans have taken to Twitter to vent their anger at the appointment of linesman James Mainwaring to officiate Saturday’s clash against Norwich City.
The EFL have decided to partner Mainwaring with another assistant and referee Darren England to officiate the Championship match on Saturday, but Mainwaring is likely to come under huge criticism at Elland Road.
The linesman instructed Keith Stroud to award a penalty against Middlesbrough during last month’s 2-1 win over Garry Monk’s side late on, after an altercation between defender Luke Ayling and Boro star Daniel Ayala.

Mainwaring informed Stroud from the touchline to award a penalty, despite the incident proving to be very much Ayala’s doing to begin with on replays of the altercation.
Former Liverpool defender Ayala dragged Ayling to the ground before the Leeds 26-year-old kicked out at the Spaniard. It saw Mainwaring give a controversial penalty that almost allowed Middlesbrough to come back into the game.
Leeds fans reacted on Twitter to the news regarding Mainwright’s appointment, with one fan asking why he was not “reprimanded” for his actions on November 19.
