Leeds United fans lament decision not to try and sign Newcastle striker, who is starring for Fulham.

Fulham’s promotion charge was given a new spark in January when the club pulled off a deadline day move to sign Aleksandar Mitrovic on loan.
Mitrovic has scored four goals in five games for Fulham, with the latest being a strike against Sheffield United last night.
Fulham are the envy of their play-off rivals, and Leeds United fans in particular have been lamenting the decision not to try and sign the Serbian.
Leeds put their hopes in signing West Brom talent Tyler Roberts instead, and so far this has backfired,.
Roberts picked up an injury in his first training session for Leeds and has been out ever since.
The Whites have slumped to 13th in the table with their play-off hopes already looking over, despite entering 2018 in a healthy position.
They have won only one game in 2018, but perhaps Mitrovic might not have been able to save them.

Pierre-Michel Lasogga, signed on loan from Hamburg, has played well in recent weeks and it has not been enough.
The Whites have been let down by their defence, lacklustre midfield and error prone goalkeeper Felix Wiedwald.
Mitrovic could have helped their cause, but he might not have been enough.
