Leeds United supporter Josh Warrington stopped Sofiane Takoucht inside two rounds to defend his IBF featherweight title.

Leeds United supporters on Twitter were delighted to see their local hero Josh Warrington defend his IBF world featherweight title by blitzing Sofiane Takoucht inside two rounds on Saturday evening.
Warrington, who is a Leeds United supporter, was too good for his opponent on the night as he extended his unbeaten streak to 30-0 in front of his own home supporters.
Before the bout, Whites playmaker Pablo Hernandez was part of Warrington’s ring-walk, as he watched the local boy terrify Takoucht with speed and pure power – the referee ended up stopping the content in the second round.
With the international break currently underway, the Leeds fans on Twitter were pleased to see Warrington produce his best once again, as he showcased that he still has the power to hurt his opponents.
The Leeds fans weren’t the only ones reacting to Warrington’s win, with winger Jack Clarke also sending his congratulations to the IBF world featherweight champion.
Warrington will be hoping Leeds can feed off some of his success as they aim to win promotion back to the Premier League.
Prior to the international break, they recorded a damaging defeat to Millwall, and when they return to action next Saturday, they will be hoping to get back to winning ways against Birmingham City.
Nonetheless, from Warrington’s perspective, his latest victory will provide him with the chance to fight at his beloved Elland Road once again, as he is well aware of the type of noise and atmosphere his fans can generate.
