Chelsea legend Terry has called time on his playing career, and two Leeds players have congratulated him.

Leeds United stars Lewis Baker and Izzy Brown have both taken to Instagram to congratulate former Chelsea teammate John Terry on a wonderful playing career after the Blues legend announced his retirement.
Terry, 37, left Championship side Aston Villa in the summer after his contract had expired and has since failed to find a new club, leaving him with the decision to retire after clocking up 738 senior appearances at club level.
A 78-time England international, Terry won five Premier League trophies, four FA Cups, three League Cups and a Champions League winners’ medal. He had been linked with Spartak Moscow, as well as the option to re-sign with Villa.
His decision to retire has come in the midst of Aston Villa looking to appoint a new manager, with some reports claiming he could become Thierry Henry’s assistant at Villa Park. Chelsea loanees Brown and Baker applauded him on Instagram.
The Guardian claim that Henry is favourite to take over at Villa after acting as Roberto Martinez’s assistant at Belgium, with Terry said to be in line to become his assistant. Brendan Rodgers, Rui Faria and Dean Smith have also been linked.
With the international break upon us, Villa are likely to make an appointment before their next game on October 20 against Swansea City at Villa Park. Leeds face the Midlands outfit away from home on December 22.
