Paris Saint-Germain striker Arnaud Kalimuendo is said to be a target for Leeds United this summer and now, the Whites might look to secure him in a player-plus-cash deal – thanks to Elland Road favourite Kalvin Phillips.
Kalimuendo, 20, has spent the last two seasons out on loan at Lens. In that time, he has clocked up 21 goals in 65 games despite playing out wide at times. For such a young player, an incredibly impressive run of form.
He now returns to PSG and reports earlier this month say Leeds have made an offer to sign the France Under-21 international – tabling a fee of £17million. He might be the ideal back-up to Patrick Bamford.

Young, perhaps willing to remain on the bench and more than capable of offering cover out wide – Kalimuendo could be the ideal signing. Now, Leeds might end up getting him in a player-plus-cash deal.

The Yorkshire Evening Post claim that PSG are looking at a move for Phillips. Manchester City remain on pole but the French champions could now offer rivalry in pursuit of the Yorkshire club’s £60million ace.
Phillips will surely be tempted by a move to Manchester City and some reports say a deal is ‘close’. But the question mark surrounding his move is whether he would start – Danny Mills does not believe he would.
So, it might tempt him to join PSG – who are not as well-equipped in midfield. They need a partner for Marco Verratti with Leandro Paredes, Idrissa Gueye and Gini Wijnaldum all linked with the exit door.
With PSG wanting Phillips and Leeds eyeing Kalimuendo, surely a deal could be done? Phillips is rated at £60million and Kalimuendo at £17million – perhaps, a deal in the region of £45million plus Kalimuendo could tempt Leeds?
