The youngster, who turned 18 on Saturday was eligible to be handed the deal, as per the stipulations in English football.
Connor Ferguson, who has now signed his first professional contract with Leeds is also a talented left-back in the same vein as Ian Harte.
So far this season, the prodigious defender has made 9 appearances for his club’s U-18 Premier League side.
In those matches, the teenager has provided 2 assists, which is a promising sign that he could very well develop into a quality attacking left-back.
And now, the fact that Connor Ferguson has been tied down to his first professional contract for Leeds United is an indicator that the club view him as a potential first-team player in the future.
