The Liverpool starlet will only leave on a permanent basis, which is bad news for Leeds United.
Whoever Leeds United sign between now and the end of the transfer window, it won’t be Harry Wilson.
Earlier this month it was reported by The Scottish Sun that Whites boss Marcelo Bielsa personally scouted Wilson and Ryan Kent in a friendly for Liverpool at Bradford City.
But if a report is accurate, Leeds have zero chance of bringing him to Elland Road.
According to Sky Sports, Aston Villa and Newcastle United are duking it out for his signature, but that isn’t why United will be moving on from Wilson.
The report added that Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp won’t be sending him on loan and values him at £20 million.
Leeds have predominantly only been signing players available on loan this summer and the same agreement for the 22-year-old was their only chance of bringing Wilson to West Yorkshire.
And the news that Liverpool will only consider a permanent sale means it’s game over for Bielsa in that respect.
Wilson scored 18 goals for Derby last season during his loan with the Championship club. He would’ve been amazing for the Whites this season, but it looks like Bielsa will have to move on to other targets.
