The Leeds United-owned striker opened his account for Trabzonspor on Saturday.

Leeds United-owned Caleb Ekuban got his loan career off to a flier on Saturday evening.
Ekuban scored the last goal in a 4-0 drubbing as Trabzonspor thumped Galatasaray 4-0.
It was a dream debut for the 24-year-old, who left Leeds on a season-long loan last month, and here’s how he reacted to the goal on Instagram.
The Italian forward was a popular figure among some Leeds fans, many of whom admired his work ethic last season.
But two goals in 21 appearances across all competitions meant that there was no way the former Chievo Verona hitman – a £500,000 signing last summer – could stay in West Yorkshire.
The Whites needed a lot more firepower and Patrick Bamford’s arrival for £7 million, coupled with Kemar Roofe’s red-hot form, meant that United boss Marcelo Bielsa didn’t need him.
As of now, it seems unlikely that Ekuban has a bright future at Elland Road, but the same could have been said for Mateusz Klich in January, after the Polish midfielder joined Utrecht on a half-season loan.
Fast forward nine months and the 28-year-old is a key player for Leeds these days, having scored three Championship goals for the top-of-the-table Whites.
It’s unlikely that Ekuban will bounce back to be a big player for the English side next season, but Klich’s reversal in fortunes is a big reminder that it’s possible.
