Leeds United have reportedly made a bid for Ivan Sunjic [The Daily Mail].

It seems like United might want the Dinamo Zagreb midfielder as a potential replacement for Aston Villa-linked Kalvin Phillips.

Time will tell whether the interest is genuine, but this is a player who Leeds boss Marcelo Bielsa may be a fan of.

We know that Bielsa likes multi-use players, those who can play in various positions, and Sunjic fits the bill int his regard.

The 22-year-old is a defensive midfielder by trade, but he can also do the Mateusz Klich role and play as a number 10, according to Transfermarkt.

It looks like Sunjic has many strings to his bow as a footballer and such versatility might just appeal to Bielsa.

Obviously the goal is to keep hold of Phillips, because he was exceptional last season, but the Argentine could well be a fan of his possible replacement.

Sunjic, who is contracted to Zagreb until 2024, has one cap for Croatia and 12 for the Under-21s, scoring once.
