Leeds United won against Bolton Wanderers at Elland Road in the Championship on Friday.

Pearce did not start for Leeds in their Championship game against Bolton at Elland Road on Friday afternoon.
The 19-year-old left-back was an unused substitute, as the Whites won 2-1 at home in front of 35,377 fans.
The youngster made his debut for Leeds against Sheffield Wednesday at Elland Road just before the international break and did quite well.
Leeds head coach Heckingbottom has explained his decision to leave Pearce out of the starting line against Boltons, and has also stated that the left-back took it well.

Heckingbottom told Leeds Live about Pearce: “Yeah, but he understands. It’s a great experience for him. Seeing what it’s about.
“All the other boys in his group as well, it’s shown there’s a pathway. They also know it’s not easy.
“I felt it was important that we put Berardi there against Ameobi who’s a big threat for them. And Bera handled him well, so yeah, today it was the right thing to do, definitely.”
“Yeah, of course he does,” added Heckingbottom when asked if Pearce took the decision well. “They’ve got no choice.”

Decision paid off
It would have come as a surprise to many to see Pearce out of the starting lineup against Bolton, but Heckingbottom’s move did pay off for Leeds.
The 19-year-old left-back, though, should not get discouraged, as he could get chances between now and the end of the season for the West Yorkshire outfit.
