Hadi Sacko has really struggled for form in recent weeks, but shown plenty of glimpses of quality during his time with Leeds United.

Hadi Sacko may not be a popular player amongst the majority of Leeds fans at the moment as his recent performances continue to frustrate, but it surely makes sense for Garry Monk to keep faith with the 22-year-old.

The Leeds loanee is capable of brilliant runs at pace, but his decision-making and his end product often leaves supporters tearing their hair out, especially as the mistakes have not been anomalies recently.

But at the end of the day, if Sacko was the finished article, he would be contending for a place at parent club Sporting Lisbon and not playing in England’s second tier.

And it is not like the problem is exclusive to wingers in the Championship. Fans of clubs that are battling near the top of the Premier League would surely admit that their wingers tend to frustrate them the most.

Of course, it is understandable that supporters grow frustrated of watching Sacko make similar mistakes on a regular basis, but that frustration is arguably only exacerbated because of what the youngster is capable of when he is on form.

On his day, Sacko is arguably the best winger in the Leeds squad, and is the one capable of causing opposition defenders the most headaches, and that ability could be so vital in the coming weeks as the Whites continue their fight to secure a spot in the play-offs.

If he gets it right in the remaining weeks of the campaign, Monk’s men should have no problem extending their season beyond the 46th game.

Unfortunately for Leeds fans, they may just have to put up with the bouts of frustration along the way.
