German newspaper Bild have provided a potential boost to Leeds United in pursuit of Bayern Munich midfielder Marc Roca, by claiming Bayern are open to his exit. However, Europa League winners Frankfurt are also keen.
Reports emerged on Thursday that after deals for Rasmus Kristensen and Brenden Aaronson, Leeds are looking at 25-year-old Roca. The Athletic say a potential deal for Roca would cost a bargain £10m.

The midfielder was signed by Bayern in 2020 after an impressive start to his career with Espanyol – even on the verge of a Spain call-up. But he has since managed just 24 appearances for Bayern over two seasons.
Now, Bild claim Bayern are open to the sale of Roca this summer – if the price is right. However, they also say that other German sides and Europa League winners Frankfurt are keen, as they prepare for the Champions League.
Leeds boost: Bayern open to Roca exit, Frankfurt also keen
Frankfurt will surely appeal to Roca. The German side were somewhat mediocre in the Bundesliga last season. But their superb form in the Europa League, which saw them beat Rangers in the final, will appeal to Roca.
It means that Frankfurt will be in the Champions League next season – something Leeds will find tricky to compete with. However, Victor Orta did say Kristensen opted for Leeds over a move to Champions League clubs.
It is a matter of personal stance. Would Roca like to test himself in the Premier League with a ball-playing Leeds side? Or would he prefer to remain in Germany and join a team in the Champions League next season.
