Leeds hosted Bolton in the Carabao Cup this evening.
Leeds won their third game in a row this season, beating Bolton in the League Cup.
The Whites recorded a 2-1 victory which at one stage looked like it was going to be far higher.
Pundit Noel Whelan was impressed, telling BBC Radio Leeds: “We are in the hat for the next round, it’s all about keeping momentum and winning football matches. It breathes confidence.
“We look strong in every department at the moment. It’s very exciting.”
Leeds debutant Patrick Bamford opened his account with a well taken goal after just 13 minutes.
Moments later Samu Saiz scored an impressive goal after an excellent run from Lewis Baker.
Leeds had made several changes from the team which beat Derby at the weekend, with Bamford and Baker among those taking their debuts.
Bolton pulled a goal back shortly after half-time, meaning Leeds have now failed to keep a clean sheet in all three games so far under Marcelo Bielsa.
Jamal Blackman looked nervous in goal, and will not have done enough to displace Bailey Peacock-Farrell.
Leeds now have some more difficult selection decisions to make ahead of this weekend’s fixture against Rotherham United.
