It was a must win game for Leeds against Blackburn.
Leeds manager Garry Monk
Leeds United needed a win against Blackburn Rovers, and just about managed it.
The Whites recorded a 2-1 win, with substitute Chris Wood netting the opener, before Marvin Emnes equalised, with Kyle Bartley scoring a late winner.
Former Leeds player Noel Whelan spoke to BBC Radio Leeds after the game, and gave his assessment of the result.
He said: “It was a huge win. We knew before kick off it was a must win game, and they delivered.
“We saw a high intensity game, more pressing, much better passing. A little bit nervy at the end but we got it over the line.
“It was a much better formation tonight to deal with the midfield area, it was at our tempo tonight.”

Leeds came into the game under pressure, having been without a home win all season.
At the weekend they lost to rivals Huddersfield Town, and manager Garry Monk has been under pressure.
That could have been somewhat relieved, but the performance was hardly convincing, and Blackburn are one of the few teams in the division worse off than they are.
A win is a win, and Leeds will need to show more in their upcoming fixtures if they are to record further victories, while an injury to Liam Bridcutt also soured the evening.
