The Whites beat Brentford 1-0 at Elland Road thanks to Eddie Nketiah’s goal, whose Twitter update by Leeds was liked by their Championship rivals.

A number of Leeds United fans have taken to Twitter to comment on the club posting a screenshot of Championship rivals Birmingham City ‘liking’ the update of the Whites’ goal against Brentford.

The Whites returned to the top of the table on Wednesday night after Eddie Nketiah scored on his league debut for Marcelo Bielsa’s side, finally breaking the Bees’ resistance at Elland Road after Leeds were dominant for most of the game.

The Leeds admin spotted that the Blues had ‘liked’ the update posted after the Arsenal loanee broke the deadlock in the 81st minute and duly brought it to the attention of the Whites fanbase on the club channel.

On top of that, some of the Elland Road faithful also spotted that, while the Blues follow Leeds, the gesture is not reciprocated – at the time of posting anyway – cue plenty of light-hearted comments about the matter:

Leeds return to Championship action on Saturday when they travel to Stoke City, while their league fixtures against Birmingham take place on 19 October at Elland Road, and on 29 December at St Andrew’s.
