Newcastle United fans are already resigned to defeat to Leeds United in the battle to sign Michael Cuisance.

L’Equipe have reported how Newcastle are keen to fight Leeds for the signing of the £18 million-rated central midfielder.

However, Newcastle fans feel that Leeds will be the more attractive choice for the Bayern Munich midfielder.

And they think that Cuisance will opt to play for Marcelo Bielsa over Steve Bruce.

If Newcastle could land Cuisance he would be an exciting addition to their squad, but it does seem like Leeds are the favourites.

Cuisance has struggled for game time at Bayern, but he is still only 21, and has proven his quality in the Bundesliga, even as a teenager.

If he joins Leeds it will be another signal of the newly promoted side’s ambition, as Bielsa’s men look to make an impact in their first season back in the Premier League.
