Leeds are reportedly interested in signing Mbaye Diagne.

Leeds United are now surely set to miss out on Kasimpasa striker Mbaye Diagne after a Qatar club reportedly made an offer worth £10.8million to sign the on-fire striker.
ESPN claimed in the summer that Leeds were interested in landing the 27-year-old, but a deal to bring the three-time Senegal international to Elland Road fell through.
Diagne has been in sensational form for Kasimpasa, scoring 20 goals in just 17 SuperLig outings. He sits at the top of goalscoring charts for the Turkish league – 11 ahead of second-placed Hugo Rodallega and 12 in front of Robinho.
Whether Leeds remain interested, it is unclear. But if there were any lingering hopes of bringing the striker to Elland Road, they have now surely evaporated after a report claimed a Qatari club are keen.
Turkish outlet TRT claim a club from the middle eastern country has tabled an offer worth almost £11million to sign Diagne. The Qatari Stars League sides are renowned to boast plenty of cash reserves, and that means wages are likely to be high.
That will surely end any harbouring interest from the Whites, with £10.8million surely out of Andrea Radrizzani’s reach – as well as what would likely be a huge pay cheque every week.

Leeds are not particularly desperate in the final third, with Kemar Roofe in excellent form. Patrick Bamford remains on the comeback trail while Tyler Roberts is also an option up front.
Diagne’s form suggests he would certainly be an excellent signing for any Championship or indeed Premier League sides, but at such a high cost, Leeds simply have no chance of matching the financial power of Qatar clubs.
