The Leeds United owner is going nowhere at the moment it seems.
Andrea Radrizzani has told The Times that he is just getting started at Leeds United.
The Italian businessman completed his takeover of the Elland Road club nearly two years ago and Leeds have gone from strength to strength since.
The appointment of Marcelo Bielsa last summer could result in United winning promotion to the Premier League, with the team beginning their playoff campaign with a trip to Derby County this evening.
The Daily Mail claimed in February that Radrizzani could sell the club if Bielsa’s side missed out on Premier League promotion.
But going by his latest comments, he is going nowhere.
He told The Times: “I have just started at Leeds. I’m young, ambitious and have the honour and privilege of owning one of the biggest brands in football.
“I hope one day to be in the Premier League.”
This is exactly what Leeds fans and players need to hear, that whatever happens in their playoff fight, the esteemed owner is hanging around.
Keeping Bielsa in West Yorkshire should also be the aim, should the Whites fail to win promotion.
The Argentine has transformed the team and given the fans’ genuine belief for the first time in a long time, and if he sticks around then Leeds will be favourites to come up next term if it doesn’t happen this time around.
