Leeds United and West Ham United are just two of the clubs in the race to sign Fluminense star Jhon Arias during the January transfer window.

Fluminense star Jhon Arias is preparing for the Copa Libertadores final and is now a wanted man.

That is according to TEAMtalk, who claim that Leeds United and West Ham United are keen to land Arias.

Fluminense are just 90 minutes away from glory as they meet Boca Juniors in the Copa Libertadores final this weekend.

This is a huge game and European eyes will be watching – including clubs in England as they scout potential signings.

For instance, Liverpool are keen on Fluminense star Andre, and it looks like one teammate is attracting interest too.

Leeds United and West Ham United want Jhon Arias

TEAMtalk now claim that a host of clubs will be watching Fluminense winger Jhon Arias.

Four Premier League clubs are interested with West Ham United, Crystal Palace, Wolverhampton Wanderers and Burnley all keen.

Championship sides Leeds United and Leicester City are also interested as they seek Premier League returns.

Rangers are the other clubs mentioned as they fancy taking Arias to Glasgow.

It’s stated that, whilst Arias is under contract until 2026, the 26-year-old could be available for a move to Europe in January.

All of those clubs will surely watch Arias on Saturday with Fluminense desperate to claim the victory, allowing teams to see the Colombian on a big stage with huge pressure on.

Who is Fluminense star Arias?

Arias hails from Quibdo in Colombia but actually emerged in Mexico with Dorados de Sinaloa and Club Tijuana before heading home with Patriotas.

After spells with America de Cali and Independiente Santa Fe, Arias landed his big move by joining Fluminense in 2021.

Arias has now racked up 135 appearances for Fluminense, racking up 26 goals and 30 assists in the process.

Describing himself as a ‘fast’ and ‘creative’ player, Arias predominantly plays as a winger and has operated on both flanks for Fluminense.

Arias has also picked up 10 caps for Colombia and he could soon find himself in the Premier League with West Ham – or even in the Championship with Leeds.
